Father John Hoover served for 18 years as a parish priest at the Diocese of Charlotte, which is where he grew up and where his family still lives. He continues to be Diocesan priest but was released from parish assignments to live the monastic life.
In 1994, he founded New Creation Monastery. He has become an oblate monk in the Camaldolese Benedictine tradition and taken the monastic name of John Vianney (the Cure of Ars and patron of parish priests).

Father Hoover has become a friend and supporter of Voice of the Faithful/WATCh Charlotte and offers monthly home Masses at various houses of it's members. Check the Home page for Mass times and dates.
